Job Title Compliance Officer

Job Summary:

To ensure the company's adherence and compliance to both external & internal laws, regulations rules, policies and practices.

Main Duties:

  1.  Develops initiates, maintains, and revises policies and procedures for the general operations of the Compliance Program and its related activities to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct. Manages day-to-day operation of the program. 
  2.  Ensure overall adherence to Dubai Stock Exchange and Central Bank of UAE, Abu Dhabi, Insurance Authority of UAE regulations. 
  3. Provide the authorities without delay any information, records they may require for the purpose of administration of the law and its implementing regulations. 
  4. Interact and correspond with regulatory authorities and maintain comprehensive file of correspondence, communications, circulars and notification issued by them. 
  5. Collaborates with other departments (, Investment, Legal, Finance, HR, Underwriting, Claims etc.) to direct compliance issues to appropriate existing channels for investigation and resolution. Consults with the corporate attorney as needed to resolve difficult legal compliance issues. 
  6. Responds to alleged violations of rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and Standards of Conduct by evaluating or recommending the initiation of investigative procedures. Develops and oversees a system for uniform handling of such violations. 
  7.  Identifies potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk; develops/implements corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues, and provides general guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future. 
  8.  Ensures proper reporting of violations or potential violations to authorized enforcement agencies as appropriate and/or required. 
  9.  Establishes and provides direction and management of the compliance ;
  10. Monitors the performance of the Compliance Program and relates activities on a continuing basis, taking appropriate steps to improve its effectiveness.
  11. Works with the Human Resources Department and others as appropriate to develop an effective compliance training program, including appropriate introductory training for new employees as well as ongoing training for all employees and managers.

Qualification BA in Law, with solid background in Auditing and Forensic Accounting and good knowledge of the UAE's companies law and Code of Governance and Compliance.
Experience THIS JOB IS ONLY FOR UAE NATIONAL with 5 years of relevant experience with at least 1 year in Supervisory Level
